Overview

Deliver a bold and memorable backstage experience that fuels artists, fosters meaningful brand connections, and reflects Nando’s vibrant cultural identity.

Nando’s wanted to show up backstage atWireless Festival in a way that felt authentic, generous, and unexpected—offering more than food by creating a space that artists would genuinely want to spend time in, return to, and talk about.

Objectives

⁠Design an “Instagrammable” space that encourages organic content and social sharing
Providing the infrastructure for Nando’s to provide their food fast and to their high standards

Our Approach

1. Fully Branded Container Kitchen

FoxWylie delivered a custom-built Nando’s container kitchen that served freshly grilled peri-peri chicken daily—bringing restaurant-level quality and speed to the heart of the backstage area.

2. End-to-End Utility & Service Setup

We managed all back-of-house infrastructure, including a prep kitchen, utilities, and staff facilities, to ensure seamless food service throughout the weekend.

3. Relaxed, Artist-First Seating Zone

We created a stylish and comfortable seating area around the kitchen—designed for downtime, interviews, and casual hangouts. Warm, welcoming, and unmistakably Nando’s.

4. Custom Ping Pong Activation

To spark interaction and extend dwell time, we installed a Nando’s-branded pingpong table and gifted customised bats to performing artists—each engraved with their name or stage persona. It became a surprise backstage hit, fuelling playful competition and organic content.

Outcome

FoxWylie helped Nando’s turn a backstage catering setup into a standout cultural moment. With flavour, hospitality, and a playful twist, the activation proved that great experiences aren’t just about being seen—they’re about being remembered.
