About This Project

At the end of April, the FoxWylie team once again joined forces with digital marketing agency, 123 Internet Group, to help deliver their second – and biggest – MK Digital Summit event.

We worked with the team on their inaugural event back in 2018 and were very excited this year to see delegate numbers more than double, and result in the event outgrowing its original venue at the beautiful Chicheley Hall to move to the Odeon cinema at Milton Keynes.

The MK Digital Summit is great for all levels of business. 250 delegates were given the exciting opportunity to learn about the impact of digital transformation and how to push their businesses to the forefront of digital marketing.

The event raised over £1,800 for 123 Internet’s chosen charity, the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), which aims to keep families together and close to their children while they are in hospital, by providing free ‘home away from home’ accommodation and support. There are 14 Ronald McDonald Houses across the UK, all located close to specialist children’s hospitals, and they really are a lifeline to many families. Find out more via their website.

So, after a short welcome and overview of RMHC to start the day, a jam-packed schedule of eight speakers from the biggest software providers and industry leaders followed, including Barclays and Sprout Social.

Although it’s a venue that might not readily come to mind, the Odeon actually offers corporate hospitality and VIP experiences, whilst for conferences just like the MK Digital Summit, it literally gives event organisers the opportunity to get their messages up on the big screen! Plus, with a large seating capacity, it was perfect for the increased number of delegates this year.

Obviously, the venue has a lot of existing built-in production (the perfect destination for discussing all things digital!), but we provided some enhanced AV solutions, as well as technical support throughout the day. We’re always happy to work with venues and their in-house kit, especially when it gives our clients a good cost effective solution. That said, it can be a challenge working with systems that are already in place, particularly when we’re adapting them for another purpose – such as a cinema for a conference room! We’re sure the comfy seating went down a treat with delegates though!

As well as being a great opportunity to learn from industry experts, the event also brought people together to network . The Gallery space outside the screen was perfect for some relaxed, informal networking during breaks and lunch. Plus we made use of it for the VIP drinks in the evening.

Perhaps the biggest highlight of working on this event was its overall success and growth, complemented by some great speakers and good feedback from delegates. We look forward to continuing our relationship with 123 Internet, and watching this event grow in the future.
