Kia’s Power Masterclass – The New Power Generation: a Case Study

About This Project

This was another great opportunity to work with the Motiv8 International team on delivering the Kia New Power Generation Masterclass 2019; their modern technology themed event, exhibiting two of the new vehicles in their range. 

The Purpose of the Event

This latest Masterclass event was held to inform the Kia dealerships about the exciting new offerings from the Kia range; the all new e-Niro and ProCeed vehicles. It was crucial to ensure delegates would leave the event engaged, enthusiastic and excited about these new cars, but also having learnt as much as possible about them and their new features. This enables the teams to go back to their dealerships armed with the knowledge to help customers make the best decisions about buying a car that’s right for them. 

In order to do this, we needed to ensure we could demonstrate the cool new features and key selling points in a way that was easy to learn, interesting, and relevant to the sales teams, as well as their customers. The concept developed by Motiv8 was to have specific zones containing multiple activities, forming sharp and snappy sessions, running at a fast pace to keep momentum strong and delegates engaged. 

Innovative Partners

Kia’s Power Masterclass was held at The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Coventry, which is known for its innovative manufacturing processes and technologies. The location was a perfect fit for showcasing the brand new vehicles in the Kia range, with its state-of-the-art modern facilities. 

The Power Within – Planning the Event

After an opening session in the theatre, each group of 16 split off to a different area. The technical teams were well catered for, with their own dedicated sessions, and there were also lots of driving activities for the groups. They were able to get behind the wheel of both the e-Niro and the ProCeed to try them out and delve deeper into their features.

FoxWylie supported Motiv8 with the artwork and branding for each section of Kia’s Power Masterclass; we designed and produced the structures which separated the zones and helped create the activities within. This included a batak style charging demo, a FAQ zone, a trickle charge water system and touchscreen game.

We also created a gallery to showcase various car parts, as well as some of the design elements that went into the development of the ProCeed. 

FoxWylie worked with Motiv8 on the communication system that went into the drive vehicles, allowing the team to send out tasks and activities throughout the sessions and capture video and picture responses.
