About This Project

Once again FoxWylie were chosen to support the Motiv8 International team to deliver one of their exceptional immersive training events; this time, the Ford Tech Live 2019 training event at Millbrook Proving Ground. The event focused on training Ford dealership staff on the technology available in the Ford range, along with showcasing three of their new vehicles.

As part of this project, delegates were introduced to the all-new Focus ST, as well as the new Mustang Bullitt and the Ranger Raptor. There was much excitement over these products and the delegates were able to get up close for the first time and find out all the key selling points for these cars.

It was a high energy event with a competitive element, which ensured the delegates were enthusiastic and engaged throughout.

The delegates were also taking in a large amount of information, so it was crucial that this was done in an engaging, fun and memorable way. We helped Motiv8 to develop zones, which formed short, fast-paced sessions; these included a gameshow style pyramid challenge, a silent disco, escape room-style think tank and an interactive voting session, alongside the driving experiences.

The venue

Millbrook Proving Ground is a world-renowned venue and it was the perfect choice for this event. There were plenty of areas to test Ford’s products, including the skid pan, off road course and the high speed bowl. During the plenary, we were able to have the key vehicles drive into the event area. This created plenty of excitement when launching these new cars to the retail staff.

In the plenary, we provided a 15m wide LED screen. This was a great way to show off the impressive video footage of the new Ford Ranger Raptor.

The competitive edge was carried through the whole event; brand ambassadors escorted their groups to each session, and encouraged the teams to answer questions scoring them additional points. The plenary also provided an opportunity to win points. Each day the winning team were invited on stage to have a photo with the trophy!

Each of the breakout sessions focussed on a specific Ford product. The format of each session was different, which again helped keep the delegates engaged. There were hands-on sessions, where the delegates experienced impressive drifting of the Mustang in the skid pad area, then a game show experience where delegates are put on the ‘hot spot’ and tasked with answering challenging questions on the key selling points of Ford products. There were also a number of Ford and competitor vehicles for delegates to experience up close.
